Background:
Hillel Academy of Pittsburgh is an Orthodox Jewish Day School that currently has 380 students ranging from 6 weeks old through 12th grade. We pride ourselves in our ability to integrate a first rate Torah education with a demanding and competitive secular education. At Hillel we deeply care about the individual needs of each of our diverse student body, and strive to make sure these needs are met whether they are emotional, spiritual, or academic.
We are looking to hire knowledgeable, dynamic and enthusiastic full-time Rebbeim for both our boys middle and high school. The Rebbe that we are looking for is someone with experience in engaging Talmidim to be excited about learning, and help them build their Gemara skills. He should be someone who values, and has experience in fostering relationships with middle and high school age students, both inside and outside of the classroom. While a formal degree isn’t required, he should have a background in pedagogy, strong classroom management skills, and have a growth mindset. (While it isn’t mandatory, if a Rebbe has a wife who is a Mechaneches, we are also looking for Morahs for all ages.)
Job Description:
We are looking for committed Middle School and High School Rebbeim to complement our qualified workforce of educators for a full-time position. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. It will be fundamental to provide engaging Shiurim to students while also helping them develop their Middos, skills and relationship with Hashem.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for Chinuch with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. He will know how to organize a class and make learning an enjoyable, exciting and meaningful process.
The goal is to help cultivate the students’ love of Torah, and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development as Bnei Torah.
