1. Director of Capital Campaign
Position Summary:
The Director of Capital Campaign (DOCC) is responsible for the development, implementation, and analysis of a comprehensive, strategic, and integrated Capital Campaign. Working closely with the Executive Director, Director of Development, and the Director of Annual Giving, the DOCC will execute a program that includes all forms of donor cultivation, solicitation, and retention for a robust multi million dollar Capital Campaign that encompasses both phases of a High School and Elementary School renovation project.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of leadership capital giving prospects and forge strong relationships with current and prospective donors to influence and maximize contributions.
- Partner with Director of Development and Director of Annual Giving in developing strategy around donor solicitation. This includes generating and maintaining up-to-date priority solicitation and follow-up call lists, ensuring contact, solicitation, follow-up, and stewardship of those donors, and documenting all pledges and indications through follow-up correspondence. The DOCC will work closely with both directors to reduce duplication and inefficiencies.
- Manage and oversee a committee of solicitors and support the Executive Director with preparation of donor meetings, solicitation lists, tracking progress, reporting, and all aspects of process and stewardship.
- Collaborate with directors for the creation and management of capital menu items, building renderings, marketing materials and proposals for donors, plaques, and other forms or recognition.
- Follow up with donors on acknowledgments for publications, sponsorship listing, dedications, and building plaques.
- Learn our fundraising software and development tools to be able to manage incoming pledges, analyze donor reports, identify discrepancies, and all other forms of donor management and financial tracking.
- Create a comprehensive communication and marketing strategy implemented across a variety of media, with oversight and collaboration from Marketing and graphic teams.
- Work closely with the Events Coordinator to plan and manage all logistics of a ‘Chanukat Habayit,’ New Building Ceremony.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years relevant development experience, preferably with managing a Capital Campaign.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of data and have strong organizational skills to handle projects effectively and efficiently.
- Meticulous attention to detail, including strong proofreading and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to work well within a team environment.
- Strong database management skills: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Google Platforms, knowledge of donor management database Sustain, a plus.

2. Development Associate
Reports: Director of Development
Schedule: 40 hour work week, with occasional after school and weekends when necessary
Position Summary:
The Development Associate will function as the key point person for organization and support of fundraising initiatives in the Development Department and will report directly to the Director of Development. This is an exciting opportunity for an intermediate career professional looking to have ownership of event-based fundraising campaigns as well as be the right hand to the Director of Development thereby supporting many projects and fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities:
Development
- Oversee the fundraising elements of many of our Yeshivah’s events. (*See below for the list of events). This includes outreach to prospective donors to secure sponsorships for fundraising campaigns, school initiatives, and events.
- Work with the Registrar and IT department to create targeted spreadsheets, donor and solicitor lists, email lists and tools necessary to fundraise effectively for these events.
- Coordinate with the marketing department on design, edit, and printing of all marketing materials and emails related to campaigns.
- Collaborate with educational administrators and the Event Coordinator to promote fundraising events.
- Maintain fundraising database and produce fundraising reports.
- Work with department leaders, committee and volunteers in developing fundraising plans and maintaining donor relationships for these events.
Administrative
- Support Director of Development in any and all fundraising projects, events and reports.
- Learn our fundraising software Sustain and be able to enter pledges, print and analyze donor reports, identify discrepancies, and all other tasks needed to support the Development department.
- Utilize development tools and functions for fundraising including Formsite, Formule, Constant Contact, Authorize.net, and other Google Platforms for donor management and financial tracking.
- Follow up with donors on acknowledgments for publications, sponsorship listing, dedications and plaques.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years relevant work experience.
- Ability to prioritize and manage several time sensitive campaigns and projects efficiently
- Ability to work well with a team environment to promote initiatives

3. Middle School Executive Assistant
Position Summary:
Yeshivah of Flatbush is currently in need of an Executive Assistant to support the Middle School. This position will include interaction with parents, students, faculty and staff and overall management of the middle school office.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with scheduling and data entry
- Assist senior and mid-level admins in facilitating programs
- Serve as Middle School receptionist
Requirements:
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Proficiency in all Google programs, especially with Google Sheets
- Should enjoy working with children

4. Marketing Coordinator
Reports to: This position reports dually to the High School Assistant Principal and the Director of Marketing & Communications

Responsibilities:
The Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School seeks a marketing and PR professional who is able to incorporate our school’s mission and vision to appropriately tell our story through a variety of media platforms. This individual’s responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic direction, handling content and navigating the process for marketing materials, including copy and images, in collaboration with internal staff and graphic designer.
- Creating a strategic marketing calendar in coordination with internal departments.
- Generating content for Instagram, including planning and building posts and stories, writing blurbs, and selecting appropriate photos.
- Managing the Instagram account, including posting and interacting with users and responding to messages, inquiries, and comments.
- Attending school events to generate coverage of programs for school publications.
- Working with in-house videographer to direct and manage video narratives throughout the school.
- Providing marketing support to the HS Admissions team in connection with the open house, including outreach, invitations, program materials, video direction, and coverage.
- Decorating the school campus with photos, student work, and thematic materials based on the time of the year, to include displaying current photos and materials on the digital screens throughout the building.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, or related field.
- 2-5 years of related experience.
- Excellent writing skills to be able to write, edit, and polish content for multiple printed and digital publications.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills to successfully interact with a wide range of stakeholders, such as staff, students, parents and board members.
- Ability to think creatively and suggest new ideas while drawing upon best practices and the latest social media trends.
