Executive Director

Temima is a Bais Yaakov school under the auspices of Torah Umesorah, is a college/seminary preparatory school serving grades 9-12.
Temima’s mission is to enable each student to reach her full potential as a committed, G-d fearing Jew and a productive member of society.
Temima measures success by providing its graduates an excellent general studies education that prepares them for entrance into college, provides them with practical life skills, encourages a life-long love of learning and enables them to pursue the career of their choice and an excellent Torah education that prepares them for the meticulous observance of mitzvos, provides them with skills for self-study, instills within them a commitment to life-long growth, inspires them to revere G-d, provides them with a rich understanding of Jewish history and their place in it and gives them a broad, deep base of Torah knowledge that augments all of the above.
The Executive Director is the head of the administrative operations of the school and is responsible for day-to-day oversight and direction in the use of financial, human, facility, and technology resources to effectively and efficiently achieve Temima’s goals and enhance overall organizational capacity and performance.
The Executive Director is supervised by the Head of School (HOS). The Executive Director directly supervises the Bookkeeper, Executive Assistant, and all contractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

● Operations
o Develop, oversee and implement internal operational plans to achieve school’s goals
o Monitor progress toward achieving operational and financial goals and communicate objectives and expectations to all staff.
o Support the Board of Directors as needed including but not limited compiling all materials for board meetings and being on-sight for board meetings.
o Ensure proper coordination between departments as needed
● Finance
o Manage financial resources and services, both in house and with external parties and providers
o Develop and prepare annual budget and annual calendar in close collaboration with the HOS with input from other professional and lay leaders. Make necessary adjustments throughout the year as appropriate.
o Oversee the annual audit process
● Enrollment
o Oversee the development and implementation of strategies to promote a cooperative spirit among the school’s personnel and parents to enhance the educational and social climate of the school.
o Oversee recruitment and retention of families.
o Represent the organization at relevant meetings and public functions.
● Communications
o Design and implement a comprehensive communication plan
o Oversee the development and implementation of an organizational styles manual
o Represent the organization at relevant meetings and public functions

● Facilities/IT
o Oversee the use and, using consultants, the maintenance of the Temima facilities and equipment with a goal of enhancing productivity and achieve operational goals.
o Oversee the technology, using consultants, operating systems and databases with a goal of enhancing productivity and achieve operational goals, including staff training and professional development.
● HR
o Administer, and promote human resources and student policies and procedures in a manner that fosters a work environment exhibiting high levels of professionalism, teamwork, and productivity.
o Support the HOS and principals in hiring, disciplining, and firing employees.
o Support the HOS in scheduling and planning regular staff meetings.
o Oversee the evaluation of administrative staff in accordance with established procedures.
o Oversee benefit administration
● Development
o Coordinate with the Advancement Director to ensure maximum support for the HOS’s fundraising activities.
o Coordinate with the HOS and Advancement Director in creating fundraising strategies to sustain and grow the financial base of the school.
o Manage externally funded grants and contracts making sure that financial guidelines are being followed and schedules met.
● Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Demonstrated love of children and promoting their success;
• 5 years plus progressive education or nonprofit leadership experience;
• Demonstrated positive attitude and self-directed with a strong work ethic;
• Demonstrated attention to detail;
• Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
• Proficiency in any CRM software ([Name of Student software] a plus);
• Proficiency in Quickbooks and financial reporting;
• Proficiency of MS Office Suite software;
• Ability to work evenings and weekends;
• Ability to work in a team environment;
• Ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously; and
• Clearance to work with minor children via Federal and State Background Check.
